Micro Systemation: Update of legal dispute between Micro Systemation and Cellebrite

Without any advance notice, Cellebrite filed suit in U.S. federal court on the afternoon of Friday, August 16, 2013 with a demand that MSAB respond to Cellebrite’s allegations in less than one week.  In short order, MSAB thoroughly reviewed Cellebrite’s proffered evidence and determined that Cellebrite’s claims are unfounded.  MSAB  also determined that Cellebrite’s allegations, even if believed, actually concern less than 1% of the XRY software functionality and will not impact MSAB’s ongoing and future support of its customers.  

MSAB believes Cellebrite’s suit was brought in a bad faith attempt to injure MSAB and gain a competitive advantage.  MSAB is now preparing a motion to dismiss some or all of Cellebrite’s claims, anticipates prosecuting counterclaims against Cellebrite, and looks forward to prevailing in this suit.
